Eyes Reader Research Survey

A 2018 independent Reader Research Survey* shows that EYES, the monthly UK Optical fashion, business and dispensing publication is read by key Optical Practice staff who consider every aspect of Eyes magazine ‘Very Useful’.

Research showed that the majority of EYES readers are Dispensing Opticians (36%), a further 32% are Optometrists with 24% Practice Managers and 8% Optical Assistants.

At least 60% of readers said they read ALL of the magazine and 36% read more than half.

60% of EYES magazines are read by up to 3 people while a further 32% are read by more than 5 people per issue.

100% of respondents said they kept their copies for reference. With 40% keeping them for more than 6 months and 32% keeping them for at least three months.

And when it comes to EYES’ content 63% of readers found the entire magazine Very Useful’ and a further 34% thought it ‘Useful’.

  • Fashion Features: 84% of respondents described these as ‘Very Useful’ and 16% as ‘Useful’.
  • Lens Dispensing Articles: 68% of respondents described these as ‘Very Useful’ and 32% as ‘Useful’.
  • Business Features: 60% of respondents described these as ‘Very Useful’ and 36% as ‘Useful’.
  • Contact Lens Articles: 60% of respondents described these as ‘Very Useful’ and 28% as ‘Useful’.
  • Product Showcase Section: 56% of respondents described these as ‘Very Useful’ and 44% as ‘Useful’.
